Rosa Banksiae Lutea

If you have a large south/west facing wall or fence or an old tree in your garden , one of the best early flowering roses to grow is Rosa Banksiae Lutea.

It give masses of small canary yellow flowers from mid April through to mid/late May and gives a spectacular show before any other roses come into flower.

It also has the added bonus that it thornless so no worries about children scratching themselves if grown on a wall near the house.
